2009 Xtreme Off-Road Racing™ Season Entry Competitors that are running for season points will pay $400.00 for XRRA series membership. Included in this fee is the issuing of competitor numbers. Membership also shows the competitors status with the XRRA,(for possible vendor discounts and contingency tracking) and towards the overall series winner. ($200.00 for Series Membership and $200.00 towards event fees.) Event entry will be $160.00 per event if prepaid 2 weeks before event date. If not prepaid 2 weeks before, than payment of $210.00 in form of cash will be required at Tech. Single event runners will have a number issued to them by the XRRA. $300.00 per event if prepaid, otherwise $350.00 cash/check at Tech. Single Event competitiors must also have Event Membership $50.00 Additional per event. XRRA – Xtreme Off-Road Racing™ 2009 Series Update Dec 10th, 2009 In order to best serve the teams of the XRRA in these trying economic times we will have 2 full race weekends in both the eastern and western divisions. This means that Saturday will be a full race day with an event winner and then Sunday will be the second full race day with another chance for a win. There will be a total of 5 series races, teams will be allowed to drop their lowest scored finish and the series winner will be decided based on the teams best 4 out of 5 races. We have also reduced the membership and event entry cost in order to help with the teams event expenses. We understand all that the teams of the XRRA do for us and the fans; we would like to do all that is possible to help everyone during this financial hiccup. In 2009 we will be keeping the 40 team limit for the number of teams eligible for XRRA membership. Race day will consist of 3 stages. All teams entered in the event will race two runs in the morning session. At halftime the coursed will be reversed and all teams will run two courses as in years past. The 6 fastest times from the day will move onto the event final. The final will consist of 2 runs that will give us the day’s winner. A fire from a race vehicle will be grounds for DQ from stages or event. Team number can be NO less than 6” in height. Numbers must be present on no less than (2) sides of the race vehicle. A number plate may be acceptable upon XRRA approval. No classes in 2009. Spotters/Co-Drivers: Co-drivers will have to also tech with the driver if riding along in race vehicle. Co-driver will tech with helmet on to ensure a min. of 3” head clearance. Spotters may not be on course during the race other than in designated “spotter zones”. If race vehicle is in need of spotter assistance the spotter must first be cleared be course official to enter race area. This clearance will only be given once the race vehicle has come to a full stop and put into park. Points/Course times: Race teams that attempt a course and DNF will get full course time assessed. Course marshal has the right to call time on a race team that is deemed un-safe or un-able to continue. Teams that are un-able to make their race time will be assessed an additional .30 seconds on top of full course time. Teams that come to the start line must attempt the course rather than “just pulling through the gates” in order to not be assessed additional DNS .30 seconds. Series membership fee will be $400.00 from this $40.00 will go towards each event entry. Series members will only pay $160.00 per race (if paid 3 weeks prior to event date). Purse will still be based on $200.00/ea entry PLUS… (There will be an additional $50.00 late fee for entries not paid 3 weeks prior to event date.) All past series runners must have membership forms and fees into the XRRA offices by January 15th to ensure entry. Any new potential members can send their entry at any time to be put on the wait list. The XRRA will have open entry first come first served through February 15th or until division is full.
